Material Handling Skills

Sustainable Technical & Professional Skill Development

The Story

I started Material Handling Skills (MH-Skills) because I heard the frustration from my clients’ senior and front line leaders “Today’s workforce isn’t what it used to be”; I don’t believe that. Today’s workers are motivated and full of potential. I believe opportunity lies with the time we invest in our incoming workforce...just like the old days.

Together, we’re not doing anything new; just going back to the basics. My approach was developed through advanced studies of how adults learn, building hands on programs in the field and the U.S. Army as an Infantry officer, and helping industry leaders grow their capability.

The Secret

Here’s what that typically looks like:

What makes us different?

MH Skills use the “Learn—Practice—Apply” method for everything we do. This means your workforce is introduced to a new concept either in a classroom, 1 on 1, or virtually; practice it with a peer or manager; then apply it to their day to day work. This helps the new way of doing things stick.
